I have been listening to a nice rendition by T M Krishna of this masterful kriti by Deekshitar. I think it is fabulous and the tempo and tala usage is exceptional, exemplified by that first line - "S..R...G...M...PDNS..NDPMGR...S" The waxing and waning of the swaras in this kriti is unique and fresh.

I took a liking to the usage in the anupallavi "Deenavanodhuktadivyakaro ....maanasaanandakarachaturataro madguruvaro mangalam karotu". The ragamudra just gets slipped into the song as well.

Awesome composition indeed. T.M. Krishna is a genius who handles this brilliantly.

TMK sings it quite well. I would also recommend the DKP/DKJ version. It's there on sangeethamshare.

It's a great recording, and I love this presentation for this krithi.

This is archive material for the detailed explanation of the kriti - don't think this has been linked anywhere else.
