Kiranavali's students impress with Shyama Shastri Swarajatis

Here are the video links to a program that happened on Dec 12, 2009 @ the Composers day (organized by SRUTI, PA) in Philadelphia. The kids, who are students of Kiranavali Vidyasankar, and are between the ages of 12 and 16, thrilled the audience with their presentation of Shyama Shastri's Swarajatis. We were especially happy to see their unison, sruti shuddham and excellent adherence to sahitya, gamaka and other good Carnatic values. I thought rasikas world over may enjoy this.

Im not suprised at all to see this from N.Kiranavallis students, her vidwat is second to none!

Don't know if it is my internet connectivity but the video streaming took some time. I waited till the song downloaded fully before I heard it. That way there were no breaks. Man, this is awesome stuff!

The downloading took some time, but it was really worth the wait. I'm sorry I missed the live performance, the kids have sung really really well. What a good padantharam and coordination! Kiranavali can be quite proud of her students
