I could only briefly attend this concert.

The pieces I heard were Manasu Vishaya (Nattaikurinji - RST) and RTP in Shanmukhapriya (Adi khanda nadai). Both were sung with zest and from what I could tell, a high degree of technical mastery. Pity I had to miss the first part - perhaps someone can put up a complete songlist/impressions.

IIRC, the accompanists were V SAnjeev on the violin, R Ramesh on Mrudangam and KV Gopalakrishnan on the Kanjira, all of whom played their parts admirably.

Adi Khanda Nadai?????....u mean Triputa Thalam in Khanda Gati....or Thisra Thripudai(that is Adi Thalam popularly) in Khanda Gathi? Remember wat the pallavi was.....and RST in Nattakurinji....means Ragam Swaram and Thanam???? or some composer???Please clarify.

I guess Vijay meant Chatusra Jathi Triputa tala (which is Adi tala) but the nadai was Khanda.

Ragam Swaram Tani is what is commonly accepted. N would be neraval :P
