I just watched Sriram Parasuram's lec dem on desiya ragas. I found his distinction (or the lack of it, he claims) between Karnataka Kapi and Hindustani Kapi to be contentious. Just wondering if anyone else watched this.

The tillana is in Ragam Durga, by Lalgudi Jayaraman talam adi.
The song before Hemavati is :"ten madurai vAzh annaiyE" in ragam Hamsaroopini also by Lalgudi Jayaraman.

Wasn't this artist featured in carnatic idol? I believe she is a student of LGJ.

I just watched the Chitraveena of Vishal Saapuram. It is really good. He has got good talents and he will take it to places . Thanks to you for your efforts in uploading the concerts. The video and audio quality is quite good.
