First Sloka was composed by Valmiki Maharishi and appears in the Balakanda of Srimad Ramayanam.

kausalya - Daughter of King of Kosala Desha
supraja - O Glorius Son (In general Sanskrit it would be Good Son, but I have chosen Glorious Son since Rama is definitely better than being just good!), in tamizh this word would translate as nallamagan!
Rama - O Rama, One who delights every one (ramayati iti rAmaha)
purvasandhya pravartate - Meeting of light and darkness in the east has taken place (Essentially it is the Dawn Time)
uttistha - Please wake up
narasardula - Lion amongnst Men
kartavyam - Duty
daivam - Divine
ahnikam - Day-to-Day (Sandhyavandanam - Argya Pradanam to the Surya Devata literally "Savitrumandala Madhyavarthi Srimannnarayana" and Gayathri Japam!)

O Glorious Son of the daughter of Kosala Desha! One who delights everyone! It is the time of dawn! Please wake up! You have to perform you daily duty of Sandhyavandana and offer arghyam to Surya Devata! O Lion amongst Men!
