please could some one list me some malayalam songs for me to listen from the 80's or 70's. i have not listened to many malayalam songs and missed out many . but always loved to listen to those of middieval time . that of janaki or even 90's. i woudl appreciate if rasikas coudl write whatever that crosses their mind to be good . i love songs like thumbi vaa thumba kudathil . really awesome. expecting nice melodies.

It can be said to be a song about the power of music.

Hm... it looks like Chembai might have sung this song once! Here, some "Nada Brahmathin - Ragamalika" is mentioned under the details of one concert. It is very likely this very song. You can see that Mahduban Me Raadhika is also there. Plus, Yesudas was part of the concert too. (He did study under Chembai). Interesting.

Would like to mention KJY-Raveendran team. The best in KJY was brought out by Raveendran I would say. There are many older songs, but the voice of KJY was the sharpest from mid 70s till late 90s. And the ones that came from this team starting from 1980s - lets start from Tenum Vayambum. The songs viz "Ottakkambi Naadam" and "Manasorukovil" are evergreen and fantastic. both composition wise and rendering wise. The razor sharp bass voice of KJY did all the magic. I am not sure whether the music was composed by Raveendran for the song "Neelakkadambukalil". But the voice perfection of KJY matches with the ones in Tenum Vayambum.

I'd like to invite comments from all music lovers regarding this team
